Mechanical Engineering (ME)

Overview

The department was started in the year 2005. Right from the inception, it is committed to achieving recognition as a department of excellence with the committed work of highly experienced faculty to impart knowledge and quality education to the students. It has sound infrastructural and fully-fledged laboratories. The department has started offering M.E programme in CAD/CAM and increased UG programme with 120 intakes in the year 2011.

To prepare the students for a successful engineering career by inculcating the leadership qualities and to encourage entrepreneurship and ethical responsibilities for the betterment of the society with respect for diversity of opinion and culture.

The Principal study topics include Fluid & Solid Mechanics, Thermal science, Materials & Metallurgy Engineering, Design and Manufacturing, Dynamics & Control, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM).

HOD DESK

Mechanical Engineering is one of the major branches among the engineering career and its main beliefs are involved in the design, development, manufacturing and analysis of almost all the physical devices and systems.
The programme requires the understanding capabilities to the concept related to mechanics, thermodynamics, material science, kinematics, mechanical design, management and analysis. The Mechanical engineers should aware of these concepts with latest tool packages like computer-aided design and manufacturing software for Design, Development and Analysis to create industrial equipment, machinery parts and systems.
The Mechanical Engineering guys should have certain essential attributes for the entry into this programme. First and foremost, the student must have a leaning attitude towards the mechanical parts, the structure of machines and its working. The students must be good basic potential in the field of science, mathematics including analytical, logical reasoning and more problem-solving interests.
The successfully completed Mechanical Engineering graduates from the curriculum have been achieved job in major public as well as private organizations. In general Mechanical Engineering students have plenty of employment opportunities in Manufacturing industries, Automobile sector, Power plants, Petroleum, Mining, aeronautical, Design and many other sources.
The department has collaboration and MoUs with various organisations like TCS, Wipro…. With the technical guidance and infrastructure facilities given by our esteemed management, we assure that our students will go for places in future.
