Library

The modern computerized Library has more than Thirty thousand volume of books covering various areas of computer sciences, Life Science and Arts. It has subscriptions of three hundred journals. The Audio-Visual Centre & CD-ROM Workstation has an impressive collection of thousands of video cassettes & CD-ROMs. The Computerized catalogue could be accessed in the library.

Language lab

The institution has an English Communication Lab with the prime objectives for developing the four major skills among the students. They are: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

The College has a hostel named after the Father of the Institutions as " Hans Roever Hostel".

Application for admission to the hostel along with prescribed form can be had from the office on payment. A student seeking admission should be accompanied by his parent/authorized Guardian and only after an interview by the Principal / Warden he/she will be given admission.

Admission will depend on the decision of the Management. A senior student wishing to be re-admitted shall apply again in the prescribed form after meeting the Deputy Warden with the Parent / Guardian. Dismissal or suspension of a member from the College will involve automatic dismissal or suspension from the hostel, such students shall not enter the hostel without the permission of the Principal.

Students admitted to the hostel will not be allowed to stay outside the college during the period of their course.

The Managing authorities have the right to terminate the membership of the hostel, for breach of discipline or for any grave offence even in the middle of the academic year.
The mess is run on a fixed rate per day basis. Inmates of the hostel are not allowed to enter the kitchen premises. Complaints and suggestions about food or service must be made to the Deputy warden in a proper manner. They should conduct themselves decently in the dining hall. The following timings shall be observed strictly by the inmates.

  • Breakfast : 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m
  • Lunch : 1.00 p.m. to 2.30 p.m
  • Dinner : 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m

Sports & Games

  • Necessary types of equipment and facilities for regular practice.
  • Fee concession to the students admitted in the sports quota those represented national, State, Divisional and District level tournaments after evaluation.
  • Uniforms to the participants at free of cost.
  • Special prizes to the Divisional, State and National participants.
  • Daily allowances and travelling allowances for participants in tournaments with on duty.
  • Hand Ball, Foot Ball, Hockey, Volley Ball, Ball Badminton, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Chess, Carrom, Cricket, Tennikoit, Badminton, 200 Mts Track also available.
  • Regular summer camps for all the Games and Sports.
  • Various exercises, advanced skills, techniques and formations are being taught during the practice session.
  • Special coaches from outside also arranged for conducting coaching camps.
  • The department provides ample opportunity to the students by sending them to participate in Divisional, State, district and College level tournament and also friendly matches.
  • Intramural tournaments are conducted every year.
  • Prizes and certificates are given to the winners and runners-up and an overall championship trophy is also awarded to the winning team.

Internet

Our college has connected to the internet via 48(1:1) Mbps leased line from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) to provide high-speed internet to the students. Our college has a dedicated internet lab working from 08.00 A.M to 08.00 P.M. The internet can be accessed in more than 300 computers. WIFI Enabled campus. Network security is provided through UTM appliances with failover option (Watch Guard Firewall XTM 5 Series).

Transport

Twenty Five buses are made available to facilitate the staff and students. The buses are operated from Ariyalur, Pennadam, Thozhudur, Thuraiyur, Veeraganur and Trichy. The students while travelling on the college bus must behave decently. They should not create any problem with the driver or cleaner. The buses will stop only at the stage that is fixed by the transport division. The student’s Co-operation is expected for the smooth functioning of the transport facilities extended towards them.
